I’ve already received my first proof read copy of the book in March. I’ve been making changes to the interior of the book these days, I didn’t quite like it before, but now, I’m finally satisfied with it. Looks more like a collection of poems and photographs and less like a book. It looks pretty simple, but I think it’s more readable like that. Hopefully, Colours of the sea will see the light of day in May!
However, I have some problems with the IRS. Who else. My application for an TIN number (an USA tax number for non residents, who make earnings in the USA), was rejected. Their reasons are, that the USA doesn’t have a treaty with Slovenia about royalties and some other reason, that I haven’t yet checked what it means. And this is a pain in the ass, because the IRS takes 30% taxes of your royalties, unless you provide this number. And Slovenia has a treaty with the USA (article 12, I saw it on their web page), in which it is agreed, that IRS takes 5% taxes of your royalties. And that’s a big difference. It presents a problem to me right now, because I don’t know if I can start selling my book, if I don’t have this solved. Well, I guess I’ll see that in a couple of weeks. And CS takes 40% of your royalties as well, which leaves you with....? I guess I should be happy, that I’m not paying anything for them to publish the collection. Anyway, it’s not like that took the fun of publishing a collection out of me, it’s just that I don’t have much time to solve these problems at the moment, besides it takes months before you get this number.

I do feel anxious, excited, joyful... Even if I’m the only one who will have this collection, it’s gonna be great!
Godspeed,
