Poem: Outside the window

puffy snowflakes melt and drift on my window

covering the space as if with a comfort of a warm bed

yet there are storms raging

spreading like fire

sometimes it seems there is nobody left

to fight the tides rising

everyone for themself

to start a change from within selves

one at a time

feel the rawness of our souls

and maybe then we'd know

how the earth feels under

wolf's paws as he runs

to catch the winds

Ok, it's been awhile... I guess that's what happens when you have too much free time, and all the time in the world to write, but no ideas... but when you have no time, lots of ideas pop up, or is it just me? But last few days I felt like writing and I started with some poetry prompts I have written down and this is the first.

  3. Just let go, run, jump, fall if you must... the earth under our very feet is just waiting to share stories of different yous... listen & be enthralled! I can relate to you with how we have plenty of time to write but muse is missing & when muse finally hits us we barely have time to write already. I have just got my muse back though i am not entirely sure how long it will last... but who cares.. I just wanna enjoy the moment of having to be able to write again.. smiles...

  6. How important it is to consider ourselves part of the earth, somehow recapturing that lasting symbiosis that allows us to be compatible with is continuance. So the earth is comfortable with the wolves paws but a little unhappy with us raping its resources with no thought of the future.

  7. I admire those ending lines: how the earth feels under wolf's paws as he runs to catch the wind ~

Good to see you writing again ~ Sometimes with the time limits, I am able to write more productively ~

  8. Sometimes it does seem like no one is there to fight the tide rising indeed & that everyone is for themselves without taking heed of anything else. Your poem reminds us that all changes do begin from inside...and from there can spread. The image of 'how the earth feels under the wolf's paws' is such a strong one!! I enjoyed reading your poetry again!

  10. to start a change from within selves
    one at a time
feel the rawness of our souls

We can really learn a lot when we reflect one at a time. The fastest way to do anything is to do it one at a time so they say! Nicely Natasa!

  11. The noise of these storms can be deafening and distressing, leading us to believe that we are alone in the fight. If we follow that wolf's spirit maybe we can realize we are a pack.
