Where the
starlight begins, we see a hazy vision of tomorrow.
In the
silent corner of the night we dream of impossible dreams.
In search
for a way to ignite them, growing stilts we borrow.
Where the
starlight begins - we see a hazy vision of tomorrow!
Undying
hunger to return to the sun, left us in sorrow.
Strange
comfort we take in electric moon beams.
Where the
starlight begins, we see a hazy vision of tomorrow.
In the
silent corner of the night - we dream of impossible dreams!

Poem prompted by dVersePoets. I also wanted to try Triolet poetry form.
nice...i like the end...the dreaming of impossible dreams...at night i tend to come alive with ideas....hopefully we are always reaching ever forward...and not settling for cheap imitation suns to keep us entertained...
ReplyDeletecool use of the form...and great to see you at dverse as well...smiles.
wonderful dreamy repetitions and the comfort of electric moonbeams...
ReplyDeleteI love how your repetition reflects the drape of stars in the image.-J.lynn
ReplyDeleteYes, I like the "strange comfort" line a lot too, and the mix of natural and human-made comforts.
ReplyDeletedreaming impossible dreams...i much like that...our fantasy and vision without boundaries... ah...some magic in the starlight and what comes with it.. and i like as well the borrowing of the stilts...the looking for possibilities to reach what was unreachable before...very cool...and warm welcome at dVerse... smiles
ReplyDeletethank you claudia! :)
DeleteI like to visualize that there is a place in everyone's life for those 'impossible dreams." I like what you wrote to the picture.
ReplyDeleteGood form. I can see people stretching for their dreams.
ReplyDeleteIn the silent corner of the night we dream of impossible dreams.
