Blog: The Liebster Award

Fellow poet-blogger Anand at chimes of forgotten melody  has nominated Tales of autumn for the Liebster award and I'd like to thank him for thinking of me. I appreciate the thought. My first time receiving a blog award. Yaay! And do check his blog out, his poems are inspiring.

THE LIEBSTER AWARD, OFFICIAL RULES:

4. Provide 11 random facts about yourself.

ANSWERS TO THE QUESTIONS JUHI ASKED:

1. Your secret obsession?
Secret one... hmmm... to finish something I started. It bugs me when I know there is something unfinished. May it be anything. I have to have it done.

2. Your favorite smell?
Just one? Ah, the sea. The summer evenings in the grass.  Counts as one.

3. What inspires you to write a post?
Life, love, dreams.

4. What is your therapy to get through the lows of your life?
Cats, talks with my friends, read books and try to run; running is the best medicine or hiking.

5. One destination you have dreamt visiting?
Earth-wise? Egypt.

6. Do you think love gives way to reality?
Yes.

7. What do you love getting as gifts?
Something that shows that a person knows me, my interests.

8. Given a chance to undo a mistake would you do it or leave it as it is?
Depends which one. But yes, I can think at least of one that I would change. I wouldn't like changing, but it really depends on the situation.

9. What do you like to blog the most about?
Travels, writings and dreams.

10. What is the craziest thing you have ever done?
Oh, I'm not telling :P Not the place.

11. What is the biggest dream for you right now?
Independence, to move on my own. But first find a job.

11 RANDOM FACTS ABOUT ME
1) I love reading, but sometimes my mind takes me on its own current and I can't remember what happened in the book.
2) I love to remember the dreams I had, I kept a dream journal for awhile.
3) It may take me a month or more to finish a certain poem (it's the way I write, I take time for the poem to come together).
4) Always wanted to write a book (which now I just might)
5) I feel too much, for my own good.
6) Wanted to be a singer.
7) I was a cheerful child, but once I stepped into school I became very sad and later somewhat depressed. I loved learning, but couldn't find a connection with my peers.
8) I love Pink Floyd. (as does Anand, sorry, had to steal that one)
9) I believe everything happens for a reason. I have to remind myself of that from time to time.
10) Before I go to sleep I love to listen to new music on youtube, mostly post-rock, which might inspire my brain to dream or for an idea to spark.

i believe everything happens for a reason too, mostly driven by survival instincts.
some poems i took a minute or two, some years, so i guess a month is something like in between. :)
and good luck on your job hunt!

  3. I'd love to know where you would have preferred to be your destination non-Earth-wise. And great to find that you are a fellow Pink Floyd maniac.! And I share the same feelings about school too, so clearly 'We don't need no education..!!''
